Here's how it works;

Grab pictures from Facebook, Flickr, Picasa, or your device's camera roll. Choose all the pictures you'd like, and then setup what theme, transition, and music best set the scene. You can adjust the speed of the slideshow and turn the sound on and off in the settings options.

Here's the really cool part. You can export your video straight to Facebook, YouTube, Photo Library, or play it on your HDTV. I'm sure you are probably familiar with Facebook, YouTube, and emailing a video from your Photo Library, but watching the video on TV isn't any harder. Just plug in an HDMI cable from your device to the TV, and voila! You can also watch the slideshow movies on TV via AppleTV AirPlay. This is perfect for when Grandma and Grandpa come over. They probably don't know how to work those darn iPhones and iPads anyway, right?

Create Photo and Video Slideshows with Your iPad

Photo Slideshow Director HD (by Shenzhen Socusoft Co). is an iPad photography application that allows you to quickly and easily create great-quality photo slideshows and music videos that can be uploaded to Youtube, Facebook or shown on an HDTV. Creating a music video or photo slideshow is extremely intuitive and easy to do with this application. I created a photo slideshow with the images from my photo stream in about 2 minutes using the random transition selector and adding my own music — Black Eyed Peas, "Boom Boom Pow." I then uploaded this to Facebook in low-quality (due to my network speed), but you can upload in HD if you like. Unfortunately, my video was disapproved by Facebook (and within only a couple of minutes) due to copyright infringement, obviously for my use of the Black Eyed Peas' song. There is a clear warning in this app to ensure that you are not violating any social network terms of service (TOS) that you are uploading to.



This photography iPad app is extremely simple to use and provides for creation of quality slideshows and music videos. The difference between the two is that music videos will sync your music to fit your photos. Another nice feature is that the video/slideshows you create with this app can be imported to iMove for further editing or inclusion in iMovie projects. A key feature of this app is the speed and quality it produces — HD content and quality slideshows/videos. There are a lot of customization/personalization options with this app when creating your own photo slideshows or music videos, to include a large number of transitions and themes to amp up the display of your creations with added effects.
